Heart of texas Children's Literature Review Center

The Heart of Texas Children’s Literature Review Center is dedicated to making current children’s and young adult’s literature available for public viewing and informing the public of the literature through providing evaluative reviews. The collection consists of books and book-related media that are published and/or made available for sale for the first time in the United States during the current year.

Professionals read and evaluate books and write reviews. We publish the reviews in our quarterly journal, the Lorgnette.
Visitors are invited to come to the center for on-site reading and evaluation of the books. Persons responsible for building library collections can come to the center to read and evaluate items, prior to purchase.

The center is located on the second floor of the Walker Memorial Library on the campus of Howard Payne University and is accessible during regular library hours.
